EbonyLife film’s debut feature movie "FIFTY" premieres in grand style in London
Oct 19, 2015 We start off with the London premiere of the much-anticipated debut feature film of EbonyLife Films titled “Fifty” which went down on Saturday at Vue 7 Cinema, Leicester Square, London.
The premiere which sold out in four days was graced by Executive Producer of the movie, the CEO of EbonyLife TV Mo Abudu as well the stars of the movie; Ireti Doyle, Dakore Egbuson, Omoni Oboli and Nse Ikpe-Etim.
Also present at the occasion was “Half of a Yellow Sun” director, Biyi Bandele, who directed the movie “Fifty”.
“Fifty”, which was selected at the 2015 British Film Institute London Film Festival, tells the story of four African women with similar aspirations and dilemmas, who seek to get their groove back even at the age of fifty.
The audience loved the movie so much that they already want a sequel to it.
Performing at the premiere was the famous UK-based talking drummers, which made “Fifty’s” cast and crew dance to their performance.
The previous day, Friday, the cast and crew of the “Fifty” was hosted to a pre-Premiere cocktail by the British Council, where birthday girl Dakore Egbuson was presented with a surprise birthday cake.
In an interview with CNN Africa, Mo Abudu has it that the movie “Fifty” is about sharing the African Dream, of which she is a living proof.
The grand World Premiere of “Fifty” is scheduled to go down at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 13.
