COVID Innovation Challenge

Life is changing before our very eyes due to the COVID-19 pandemic – increased hygiene, social distancing, working from home and a near-global quarantine. It’s highly unlikely that things will go back to exactly the way they were. 

As our lives change, we will be forced to adapt and to innovate. We would like you to think about how these changes will affect us and what innovation will make the process easier. Let us be part of the change and not wait for changes to be imposed on us.

Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are going to be the hardest hit in this crisis, therefore we would like to offer SME owners the opportunity to create a new product or service that will make life easier for Nigerians in this new reality. If selected, innovators will have the opportunity to present their idea on a new show called COVID Innovation Challenge. The winner will be selected by public vote.

The winning SME will receive the services of professional consultants to generate a business plan, an introduction to financiers and a cash prize of N1 million from EbonyLife TV. If you are a small business owner with a brand-new idea for life after COVID-19, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Voting Guidelines

-Submissions will be screened by EbonyLife from among all eligible applications received.

-The final selection will be done by an online vote conducted on https://ebonylifetv.com/innovate/

–The general public will have the chance to vote in an online poll to shortlist participating SME’s for the show.

-The shortlist of SME’s will be announced  on 29th May 2020

-Voting opens 1st June 2020 and closes 19th June 2020

-The winner will be announced on 29th June 2020

2. Complete the application form about your new product idea or service

3. Record a 1-minute video highlighting your new product or service idea. Upload your video to YouTube and paste the link in the nomination form

4. Upload your photograph

5. Read the release form and terms & conditions

6. Click on ‘Submit’
