1,000 foreign troops participate in China's military parade

Sep 7, 2015 Over 1,000 foreign troops from 17 countries recently participated in China’s military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of China’s victory over Japanese Aggression and the World anti-Fascist War.

This is the first time that foreign troops have been invited to participate in the military parade, with Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Pakistan, Serbia, Tajikistan and Russia each dispatching a 75-member formation.

The foreign troops arrived in China in mid-August and have since been training along with their Chinese counterparts.

The troops, which were arranged in the English alphabetic order, marched through Tian’anmen Square, behind the formations of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

Representatives of veterans from the Red Army of the former Soviet Union, the “Flying Tigers” of the United States as well as some of their offspring also joined the commemorative event.
