19th Aug 2014 Angola has some good reason to beam with pride as the country has announced the completion of what is said to be her fastest and longest railway line, The Banguela. The contract which was undertaken by China Railway Construction Corporation involved rebuilding of 67 train stations and construction of the Benguela railway line itself which stretches for 1,304 km between Lobito (Benguela) and Luau (Moxico) in the East of Angola. According to The Angolan authorities, the Benguela Railway Line is estimated to have the running capacity of about 50 trains per day, which will make it possible to transport four million passengers!
