The House Of Sagoe shows at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week 2014

Nigerian prestigious fashion designer Deola Sagoe and her designer daughters, Teni, Aba and Tiwa shone at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2014 in New York last month, as they showed their latest collections.

“The House of Deola Sagoe” unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 collection from Deola Sagoe’s brand called “Deola” and that of her daughters’, called “Clan”.

Deola showcased her 37-piece collection called “Wings by Deola”, which according to her was inspired by her daughter’s class project about moths, flies and butterflies.

Tiwa, Aba and Teni showcased Clan’s 35-piece “Kasumi” collection which was inspired by Japanese spring, hobo lifestyle and sportswear.

This is the first ever independent showing by a Nigerian fashion house at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
