Giant panda gives birth to twin sisters.

June 29, 2015 In China’s South West Sichuan Province, a panda breeding center witnessed the birth of twin female cubs, born to a giant panda, Kelin. The historical feat is the world’s first set of giant panda twins born in 2015. The older sister weighs 118 grams while the younger one is currently at 70 grams.  They both drink about one milliliter milk per meal, according to breeders.

Their mother was pregnant through artificial insemination in January and produced the babies after 2 hours of labor.

The breeders with the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding say both mother and babies are doing well.
