PSG beat Manchester United 2-0 to claim International Champions Cup

Aug 3, 2015 And still on pre-season engagements, French outfit Paris St Germain claimed a 2-0 victory over Manchester United to clinch the International Champions Cup.

The match was shrouded in a bubbling controversy due to Manchester United’s winger Angel Di Maria, who is reportedly seeking a move away from the English Premier League side with PSG being a likely destination.

PSG, who had lost their last pre-season game to Chelsea on penalties, created an early opportunity at Soldier Field, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a great scoring chance when his shot went over the crossbar.

Former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata found the back of the net but the goal was disqualified as an off-side. PSG then took the lead in the 25th minute, when Blaise Matuidi made a run into the box and drove a shot past the United goalkeeper.

Zlatan Ibrahimovi made up for his earlier miss in the 34th minute when a cross from Maxwell located him and he finished it off from close range.
