African stars win at AFRIMA 2015

Nov 19, 2015 Tanzanian Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz shone at the recently concluded All Africa Music Awards 2015, which went down at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday.

The “Nana” singer was the star of the event, scooping three awards – Artiste of the Year, Song of the year as well as Best Male Artist in Eastern Africa.

Winners representing Nigeria include “Johnny” singer Yemi Alade who won Best Female Artiste in West Africa, Darey Art Alade who won Best Male Artist: Inspirational Category, Flavour – Best Artiste in African Electro, Adekule Gold – Revelation of the Year in Africa, Kiss Daniel – Most Promising Artiste in Africa, Praiz Adejo – Best Artiste in Africa (RnB & Soul), Kunle Ayo – Best Artiste in African Jazz, while Olamide won Best Male Artiste in West Africa.

Other big winners include ace South African rapper Cassper Nyovest who won Best Male Artist in Southern Africa as well as Best Artist in African Hip Hop, while his number one rival AKA won Best African Collaboration alongside Burna Boy.
