Prince Harry awards Desmond Tutu with top British Honours in South Africa visit
Dec 03, 2015 During his recent visit to South Africa, prince harry of wales conferred on Archbishop Desmond Tutu one of the highest British crown’s awards.
Archbisop Tutu, who is a Nobel peace prize laureate, was awarded the Order of the Companions of Honor. The award is reserved for Britain and Commonwealth countries to bestow upon men and women who have provided services of national importance.
After receiveing the award, the anti-apartheid campaigner and retired Anglican Church bishop said:
“I stand out, or you stand out, in a crowd only because you have been carried on the shoulders of others.”
