Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade nominated for Kora Awards 2016

Dec 08, 2015 Yet in the music world, one of Africa’s biggest music awards, the Kora awards has released its 2016 nominee list, with Nigerian artists bagging nominations in juicy categories.

Among them is Yemi Alade nominated in the Most Promising Female Artist of Africa category with her track “Kissing”, Reekado Banks nominated for Most Promising Male Artist of Africa with his track “Katapot”, Tiwa Savage nominated for Best Video with her video “My Darlin”, up against Flavour Nabania with his video “Golibe”, Korede Bello with his “Godwin” video, Ugandan act Eddy Kenzo with “Zigido” video and others.

The Mavins have been nominated for Best Collaboration with the track “Adaobi

Nigeria’s Bracket was nominated as Best Group of Africa up against Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Togo’s TooFan and others.

Battling for the Legendary Award is Nigerian duo P-Square up against South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka-Chaka and others.

The Kora Awards 2016 is scheduled to take place in Namibia on March 20 2016.
