CROSS RIVER STATE AIMS TO WOW NIGERIANS WITH THE CENTENARY GAMES HOLDING IN NOVEMBER
18 Feb 2014 It’s all the way in November but Cross River State is already hard at work preparing for the Centenary games scheduled to hold in November 2014, according to this report from ThisDay Live. Governor of Cross River State Senator LiyelImoke has asserted as a matter of fact, that Nigerians are bound to witness the “best National Sports Festival ever”, come November.
The Governor expressed this intention when members of the Main Organising Committee of the festival led by the Director General of the National Sports Commission and Chairman of the MOC, HonourableGbengaElegbeleye, paid him a courtesy call.
The Governor assured the director general and his entourage that no effort would be spared to make sure that the state delivers a unique festival. He added he was looking forward to a game that would not only dovetail into the international Calabar Carnival but will be another opportunity to showcase the rich potential of Cross River State to the world.
