DANSA GIVES BACK IN CROSS RIVER…
04 Apr 2014 A report from This Day Live informing us that Governor LiyelImoke of Cross River State has commended Dansa Agro Allied Products Limited for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects it has carried out for its host communities in the state.
The Governor made his approving remarks at the official opening of the Ibe Bridge, built by the company to link the company farm to the host communities. Senator Imoke described Dansa Agro Allied Products ltd as a full integrated investor as they have planted a vast pineapple plantation and built a bridge to link farms, plantations and host communities. They are now building a pineapple concentrate factory in the farm and have distributed over 80, 000 high yield oil palm seedlings to the host communities.
Governor Imoke went on to say that Dansa Agro Allied Products Limited’s distribution of oil palm seedlings to the host communities was in line with his Government’s drive to empower rural dwellers to embrace Agriculture as means of livelihood.
Chairman, Dansa Agro Allied Products, Sani Dangote affirmed that the company would give more oil palm seedlings to the communities in the coming years to gain more out growers who would in turn supply the company with raw materials for processing.
He added that Dansa is planting five trees for every tree cut down during the clearing process in order to reforest the pineapple plantation. He also revealed that the company is establishing beehives to promote cross pollination produce honey and stabilize the ecosystem.
He rounded out by saying that Dansa will build a housing estate comprising of houses for staff working within the plantation,schools, a mini market and a five star hotel within the farm complex to encourage Eco tourism.
