e- commerce Company, Hellofood registers its Presence!

24th June 2014 E commerce is all the rage these days, last week, we talked about Kenyan company Bit Pesa and its plan to introduce Kenyans to bitcoins as a means of currency transfer. Today, another e commerce company Hello Food is registering its presence. Hello Food is all about convenience, an online service that allows people order from a list of restaurants on its website and have the food delivered.

The model definitely seems to be working; the company set up in 2012 and has expanded services to 10 countries across Africa, partnering with over 1000 restaurants and international chains. And in recognition of all its services, Hellofood won the award for the Best E-Commerce Startup 2014 at the Europas Tech StartUp awards – the awards celebrate the most forward-thinking, progressive and innovative tech companies in Europe.

In response to the award, Joe Falter, CEO of Hellofood Africa reaffirmed the company’s commitment to revolutionizing food ordering across Africa.
