Angolan president lays wreath at Beijing monument to mark WW2 anniversary.

June 18, 2015 Yesterday, we shared the report that Angolan president , Jose Eduardo dos Santos had held extensive talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as part of a six-day visit  aimed at securing funds needed to revive the country’s economy. In the middle of such important meetings, Presidemt Jose Eduardo dos Santos took the time to visit the Tiananmen square where he  laid a wreath on the  Monument of the People’s Heroes, to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the second world war.

Dos Santos and Xi inspected the guard of honor during a welcoming ceremony before signing agreements in areas of economy, trade, and financial cooperation.

Angola supplies a huge percentage of oil products to China and both have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship in the past.
