British Council hosts creative hustle event in Calabar

Feb 09, 2016 The British Council recently organized a career event aimed at strengthen the skills and capacity of current and future cultural event managers in Cross River State.

During the event, EL Reports caught up with the British high commissioner, Paul Thomas Arkwright and he explained why the focus was on the creative industry.

“There is a significant British industry in creative art. There is here as well…was part of that”

The event, which was tagged “Creative Hustle: Managing Arts and Culture Events”, was well attended by Creative artist from across the state. Commenting in the reception, Arkwright went on to say:

“Tapping in that thirst, if you like for the creative industry here in Nigeria…have been really impressed”
