On the 14th of April, 2014, members of the militant group Boko Haram, invaded an all-girls secondary school in Chibok, a village in the North-east region of Nigeria, and kidnapped nearly 300 school students, disappearing into a nearby forested area. Nearly three months after this shocking and horrific abductions, the location of most of the girls are yet to be found out, despite the tremendous search by the government, foreign assistance and the international whirlwind of the #BringBackOurGirls media campaign that followed.
Ebonylife TV decided to take a trip on an undercover, fact-finding mission to the village of Chibok to uncover the true story behind the missing Nigerian girls as well as discover what the day to day life is like for the people of Chibok and the families of the abducted girls and to possibly unravel why the Chibok local government has suddenly become the target for insurgency in North-East Nigeria.
Catch their emotional journey, share the exclusive, first-hand stories and interviews on what really went down that fateful day and witness the aftermath of the devastation the insurgents left behind in their wake on EbonyLife TV’s EL Specials, showing on Wednesday, 2nd July, at 21.30 PM CAT on DStv Channel 165.
