China, Russia to continue pushing comprehensive strategic partnership

Jan 07, 2016 According to Chinese foreign ministry, China and Russia will continue to push forward their comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level in the New Year.

While making the remark, Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the ministry said:

“We noticed that Putin signed a new edition of Russia’s National Security Strategy to 2020 and made a positive statement on Sino-Russian relation. China welcomes and praises it,”

In 2015, China and Russia marked the 66th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.

Both countries launched cooperation on integrating the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt that will deepened people-to-people exchanges, especially among the youth.

On this regard, Hua said:

“China and Russia, as two permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and major countries of new emerging market, will continue pushing their comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level. They will also jointly support the international community to develop a new type of international relations based on win-win cooperation and safeguard world peace and stability,”
