Chinua Achebe’s No Longer At Ease is one of the 10 biggest sequels ever

9th Feb 2015 And UK’s Independent has named No longer at ease, one of the great classics of late Professor Chinua Achebe from Nigeria, as one of the 10 biggest sequels ever by famous authors. No longer at ease was published in 1960 and  is popularly regarded as a sequel to his ground breaking work Things fall apart’ which was published in 1958.

UK’s Independent’s announcement came after eighty eight year old Harper Lee, Pulitzer winner and author of classic To Kill A mockingbird, said she will be releasing her second book 60 years after the first one! Harper said her new book was written in the mid fifties but took her editor’s advice to chill and halt the publishing. Can you dig that? So like Sam Cooke sang, People, get ready.

Other books that made the list are ‘The adventure of Huckleberry Finn’ by Mark Twain, Paradise regained, Through the looking glass, The silence of the lambs, Lord of the rings and a few other bestselling pieces.
