June 17, 2015 At her first major campaign rally for next year’s presidential elections in America, Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton promised to fight for a fairer society for everyday people in the country.
She pressed many of the buttons that energize liberal Democrats, promising to make the economy work for the middle class.
According to the former secretary of state, “Democracy can’t be just for billionaires and corporations, prosperity and democracy are part of your basic bargain too. America can’t succeed unless you succeed, that is why I am running for president of the United States,”
Hilary Clinton also took a dig at her opponents, the Republicans, criticizing their economic policies and saying they might potentially put the country in trouble later. She highlighted her support for gay marriage, women’s rights, income equality, clean energy and regulating Wall Street.
The Presidential aspirant threw in a little bit of humor, saying
“All our presidents come into office looking so vigorous and then we watch their hair grow grayer and grayer. Well I may not be the youngest candidate in this race, but I will be the youngest woman president in the history of the United States and the first grandmother as well. And one additional advantage: you won’t see my hair turn white in the White House, I’ve been colouring it for years.”
