9th Feb 2015 Over the weekend, stars such as Toke Makinwa, Omoni Oboli, Joseph Benjamin, Ms Wanawana, and even EL Now’s Ade  Laoye were in Lagos for the first-ever screening of Hollywood blockbuster Selma.

Selma is a 2014 American historical drama film based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lewis.

Directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Paul Webb and Ava DuVernay, the film stars British- Nigerian actor, David Oyelowo as well as Tom Wilkinson, Tim Roth, Carmen Ejogo, and American rapper and actor, Common.

Organized by The House on the Rock chaplain Pastor Paul Adefarasin, lead actors David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo where present at the event.
