Denmark assists Boko Haram victims

19th Jan 2015 Still on news about Nigeria, according to the foreign aid minister of Denmark, Mogens Jensen, the Danish government will assist victims of the Boko haram insurgency with the sum of two million dollars. He said the activities of the terrorist sect have caused many people to be displaced from rural areas to the cities for survival and that these people need some assistance for basic human needs in order to get a shot at putting their lives back together.

Mogens said his country is acting “in solidarity with the affected families and wants to give clothes, food, shelters, and a possibility to get through the crisis”

International institutions namely the United Nations and the Red cross are expected to be the channels of the funds to the affected people.
