Designer of the Ghanaian flag passes on

23rd April 2015 We take this time to honor Theodosia Salome Okoh who recently passed on. The designer of Ghana’s national flag, she was ninety two years old. Madam Okoh led an interesting life; she was the first female chairman of the Ghana Hockey Association and the Accra hockey pitch is named in her honor.

Madam Okoh designed the Ghanaian national flag in 1957, and Ghana’s President John Mahama has announced that all flags fly at half mast, in her honour.
