EbonyLife’s much-anticipated debut feature film titled “Fifty” has been selected to screen at the 2015 British Film Institute London Film Festival happening in London between October 7 and 18.
The movie “Fifty” directed by “Half of a Yellow Sun” director Biyi Bandele and executively produced by EbonyLife TV CEO Mo Abudu is among 238 fiction and documentary features selected from 57 countries.
Selected under the “Love Category”, “Fifty” tells the tale of four African women coming of age, with similar aspirations and dilemmas, their tale corresponding with this year’s London Film Festival theme which is “The Year of the Strong Woman”.
Starring in the movie are Nollywood actresses Nse Ikpe-Etim, Ireti Doyle, Dakore Egbuson and Omoni Oboli.
“Fifty” will be premiering at the Vue 7 Cinema in London on October 17 while a special grand Nigeria premiere goes down at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos on December 13.
