EbonyLife Films’ ‘FIFTY’ is shortlisted at the BFI London Film Festival
Sep 7, 2015 The British Film Institute (BFI) recently unveiled the programme for the 2015 London Film Festival with a staggering line up of 238 fiction and documentary features, including 16 World Premieres, 8 International Premieres and 40 European Premieres.
According to Clare Stewart, the Festival’s Director, the theme of this year’s installment will be “The Year of the Strong Woman”.
The festival presents a rich diversity of films and events which will include the highly-anticipated Ebonylife TV movie, “Fifty”.
“Fifty”, which was directed by Biyi Bandele and executively produced by Mo Abudu, features the struggle of contemporary African women in their bid to balance their aspirations while navigating unresolved traditional obligations.
The movie will have its festival premiere on Saturday, 17th October 2015, at the Vue 7 Cinema, London while the Nigerian premiere has been scheduled for December 13th, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
