Dec 18, 2015 It was a night of glitz, glam and splendor as Ebonylife Films officially premiered its feature presentation “Fifty” in Lagos, Nigeria.
The event, which took place at the Eko Hotel and suite, attracted the crème de la crème of the Nigeria business and entertainment industry. It indeed was a night when star indeed out.
Fifty, which had earlier premiered at the BFI film festival in London amidst huge fanfare, takes a bird’s eye view into the life of four African women as they strive to joggle work, relationships and their personal lives.
Directed by Biyi Bandele and executively produced by Mo Abudu, the movie resonates the strength of the African woman.
Speaking prior to the premiere, Wale Ojo, one of the casts in the movie said:
“Well, it’s a really really important film because it’s about the power of the woman…so really I’m happy to play a supporting cast to that”
Commenting on the project, Tope Oshin Ogun, the movie’s producer said:
“Well for me, I feel very blessed to be here this evening… I remember the first time we talked about fifty, So I would like to say congratulations to you”
After the overwhelming reception from the audience, Mo Abudu, CEO of Ebonylife Films was asked what her next big plan was and she humorously said she is will run for presidency.
“Run for presidency…how about that?”
Afterwards the guests were treated to a lavish after party.
