Facebook announces new tools to help nonprofit organizations raise money

Nov 25, 2015 Social media giant Facebook recently announced the introduction of a new tool that will help non-profit organizations raise money through their Facebook pages.

The donate button will allow Facebook users to donate to a charity or nonprofit without leaving their Facebook news feed. Also the tool will allow non-profits to create individual pages for specific campaigns.

The new introduction will enable users to contribute money directly from the News Feed, with a single-page form used to process payments via PayPal, credit, or debit card.

The Fundraisers feature is currently being tested with 37 partner organizations, including National Multiple Sclerosis Society and World Wildlife Fund and Mercy Corps.
