FIFA Gives Nigeria Till 17th July Before the Ban Becomes Effective.

16th July 2014 Now guys, I know we’re not the only ones worried about the recent FIFA ban; there is a lot of football to be played and Nigeria should definitely be playing.

Well, we can all heave half of a collective sigh of relief with the news that FIFA has given Nigeria a little extra time to put their house in order with regard to the ban on the Nigeria Football Federation. According to a statement on the governing body’s website, Nigeria now has till the 17th of July to immediately reverse the action taken or risk a complete ban.

As a reminder, FIFA banned Nigeria from all football activities following Nigeria’s suspension of the governing body of the Nigerian Football Federation The implications of these are very far reaching – most immediate is the fact that the Nigerian Under 20 Female team might not participate in the Championship starting August 5. This is definitely one time we’ll cross our fingers and hope for the best.
