Firefighters free 43 stranded residents in torrential rain in Guizhou.

June 11, 2015 It’s thanks to the bravery of firefighters that 43 residents who were stranded in flooded-buildings got evacuated alongside about 200 or more people saved from torrential rains in Duyun Citysouthwest of China‘s Guizhou Province. The heavy rains which lasted for over a day flooded several low-laying residential buildings, trapping residents.

Eight of the people were stranded in a three-story building which was in a one-meter-deep flood, and firefighters had to bring them out with a 15-meter-long ladder, before freeing another 35 stuck on the second floor of the building. The 200 people were evacuated to safe areas.
