Gambia Tourism Board Organizes a Boat Fishing Competition

20th Nov 2014 The Gambia Tourism Board has organized the first-ever international boat fishing competition in the country as part of efforts to boost and promote their tourism..

The event saw participants from within and outside the country, participating in the competition.

At the welcome ceremony held at the Green Mamba Garden Restaurant, in Ousainou Senghore, the acting-Director General of the Gambia Tourism Board thanked all those who attended the event.

He said the completion was very important for The Gambia as it was one of its kind in the country, saying that the for four day event saw the overall winner go home with one thousand pounds.

The general also thanked the Gambia International Airlines, and other partner organizations, saying that the tourism board organized such an event as part of product development.
