Ghana Bidding to Host the 2017 African Cup of Nations Championship.

2nd Sep 2014 Guys, remember last week that we shared how Libya has had to withdraw from hosting the 2017 African Cup of Nations Championship. We also told you that Kenya has immediately indicated interest. Well it seems they have some competition for that bid as Ghana has also stated that they would like the opportunity to host the championship.

Today.ng quotes Ghana’s Minister of Sports Mahama Ayariga as saying “I am happy to announce that Ghana will bid to host the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Now although we won’t know who wins the bid before 2015, we’re told that the The CAF Executive Committee is looking for a host country that already has accommodation, transportation, hotel facilities, training sites and stadiums.
