Ghana’s Joseph Agbeko is back with a bang

June 4, 2015 Joseph Agbeko, talented Ghanaian boxer, and former three-time world bantamweight champion, before he lost his title, is back with a bang. In a four round bout at the El Paso County Coliseum in Texas, USA, Joseph gave his Filipino opponent, Juanito Rubillar a good workout in the match which marked his return to the ring after 17 months.

The Ghanaian really needed the win to get back into the game and he achieved this with a fourth-round technical knockout.

Agbeko used good angles and good combinations to deal with his opponent till the fight was stopped at 1:31 in the fourth round as a cut in his opponent’s face continued to get worse.

The champ said “It took me a few rounds to get warmed up but this is my best comeback.”
