Guinea: The Ebola Virus under control.

16 Apr 2014 Guinea has announced that it has turned the tide in its fight against Ebola virus and that the disease is almost completely under control.
A spokesman for Guinea’s health ministry, Rafi Diallo is quoted as saying “The number of new cases have fallen rapidly”.

Mr Diallo added that new cases being monitored were all people who had been in contact with those who had fallen ill but were not themselves unwell.
Guinea’s Foreign Minister Francois Fall also announced the West African country has brought the spread of the Ebola virus under control.

Following a meeting with South African Minister of Health Maite Nkoana-Mashabane in South Africa, he is quoted as saying “We are pleased to say we have controlled the spread of the epidemic. We benefitted from help from the international community to stop the spread of the epidemic,” he went on to say.
By this, he was referring to the emergency measures launched by international aid organisationsto contain an outbreak said to be one of the worst ever.
