Hear word Naija is on in a theatre in Lagos

May 12 , 2015 What do you get when you bring Nigeria film and theatre heavy weights such as Joke Silva, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor Shomolu, Kate Henshaw and mix them up with rising stars such as Lala Akindoju, Odenike, Deborah Ohiri and a host of others? The answer, dear people is Hear Word Naija, a theatrical production which is a mix of artistry, social commentary and true-life stories of transformation delivered by some of Nigeria’s best known and most talented actors. Hear word Naija gives the audience an insight to the lives of Nigerian women from all parts, crossing a variety of socio-economic levels.

The performance is directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa, and she says the show’s primary aim is to give Nigerian women a platform from which they can be heard, and by so doing, increase the level of awareness on important issues as well as elevating the quality of dialogue.

Ifeoma is quoted as saying “As a Director and a woman, it is a gift to me to be able to tell these amazing true stories of women from all walks of life and all corners of Nigeria.
“HEAR WORD!” takes the discussion on issues facing Nigerian women to a whole new level.”

We hear you sister, and with a crew full of professionals like Ituen Bassey, Cynthia Asoegwu, Tito Adremi-Ibitola, Oluseyi Emmanuel, and others it is guaranteed to be classic and well done, certainly worth your time and money.

You can see this fabulous proudly Nigerian theatrical performance LIVE at the Muson centre, Lagos throughout the month of May; on Friday, 15th and 22nd and on Saturdays 16th and 23rd. For more info and to take a sneak peak of the show, go online to www.hearwordnaija.com
