John Kerry arrives in Vienna for nuclear talks.
July 7, 2015 John Kerry, United States Secretary of State, is healing nicely from his fracture and arrived for talks on Iran’s nuclear programme in Vienna on the 30th of June. The talks are expected to continue past a prior deadline for a comprehensive agreement that will end sanctions against Iran, in exchange for limits on its most sensitive nuclear activities for a decade at least.
The West suspects Iran may be secretly developing technology that would allow it build nuclear weapons, but Tehran says its programme is for peaceful purposes only. One of the biggest sticking points is Western demands that U.N. inspectors have access to Iranian military sites and nuclear scientists, to ensure that there is no hanky panky.
