12 June 2014 Hotel booking service Jovago is in the news again! Techcabal informs us that they’re back to Nigeria now, and have signed on as official partners to the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation. The way it works, visitors checking the Nigerian tourism website for possible hotels to stay in while in the country, will get a link to hotels available on Jovago, not bad when you think about the fact that almost 70 percent of the tourism website’s traffic is foreign, and 80 percent of its visitors arrive via search. And what’s Jovago’s part of the deal? Well they’ll be responsible for providing the NTDC with online marketing expertise required to help boost tourism in Nigeria as that is one of the main goals of the NTDC
Director General of the NTDC Mrs Sally Mbanefo said “We are very keen on this new partnership with Jovago.com. Not only is it targeted at promoting Nigeria’s thriving tourism sector and exhibiting the country’s potentials to Nigerians and the world at large, it also makes it easy for anyone visiting the official NTDC website to choose from the wide selection of hotels available on Jovago.com.”
