Junior tennis players in Nigeria get cash incentive

May 4 , 2015 To encourage young talents in the sport, the International Tennis Academy in Nigeria will give a two hundred and fifty thousand Naira grant to any junior tennis player who plays in the CBN Junior Tennis Championship and wins the senior event as well. The announcement comes from the Academy’s Director, Godwin Kienka, who said that it was a very realistic and achievable dream of the Academy.

According to him, “This is a target, a dream if you like, that is achievable. At the level the top juniors are playing right now, they only need big hearts and correct guidance to excel at the senior level.

Mr Kienka ended by saying “We hope the stake will get the attention of the juniors and make them work towards winning a senior championship,”

Catching them young, we like this. Get to playing people
