Kaline, EbonyLife TV show support for #BringBackOurGirls Initiative

It’s been more than three weeks since members of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, dressed in Nigerian military uniforms, stormed an all-girls secondary school and kidnapped nearly 300 school students, disappearing into a nearby forested area.

The social media campaign under the hashtag – #BringBackOurGirls started trending in Nigeria two weeks ago and has now been tweeted more than one million times. It was first used on April 23 at the opening ceremony for a UNESCO event in a speech by Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Vice President of the World Bank for Africa to “Bring Back the Girls!”

The abduction has led to campaigns calling for their rescue, on social media and offline all around the world. Amnesty International and UNICEF have backed the campaign, as well as world leaders and celebrities, including Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton, Malala Yousafzai, rappers Wyclef Jean and Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and many more.

Kaline, a Nigerian songwriter and performing artist, in association with EbonyLife TV is showing support for the #BBOG initiative with the production of a heart-wrenching, emotional song and we’d like to share this beautiful song with the world in honour of these girls.

This is a very emotional and moving song written and performed by Kaline, download, share and lets show the world some of the positive steps we are taking to heal.
