Kejetia Central Market committee is in discussions with Brazilian architects.
25th March 2015 Kejetia Central market, the largest single market in West Africa with over ten thousand stores and stalls, is the subject of crucial discussions between a thirteen member stakeholders’ delegation in Brazil and the architect designing the new Kejetia-Central Market project. The delegation consists of representatives of the traders and is expected to visit one of the biggest supermarkets in Brazil which was designed by the architectural company ARKTETO.
The meeting is to better understand the building plans and technical needs for the market’s new look.
Kennedy Vianna, Head of Architect for ARKTETO, said in a presentation that his company has carefully considered the right design and styles for Ghana’s weather and history. He added that a lot of consultations have been made with other reputable local architects in the country such as the former Dean of the Architectural Department from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr. Benjamin Terkey.
