Nov 12, 2015 From soccer pitch to red carpet, FIFA World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo recently painted London red as he premiered his personal portrait film “Ronaldo”.
The Portuguese superstar reunited with his former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson as well Chelsea’s manager Jose Mourinho.
In addition to being awarded the certificate for Guinness World Record for being the “most liked” person on Facebook, Ronaldo sought to break a selfie record upon arrival.
Speaking on the red carpet, Ronaldo said:
“The people who really know me, they are not going to be surprised about the movie…But, as I say many times, the commentary (documentary) is especially for my fans because they are always with me in my good and my bad moments. So, I think they deserve that,”
Ronaldo’s long-time friend and agent Jorge Mendes said:
“I think that the opinion – talking about the people – for sure you will have a different opinion about him because you have a chance to see the real Cristiano,”
When asked if he might eye a position as head of FIFA or UEFA, the Real Madrid striker said:
“I am not that smart to be a president (of FIFA). I do not worry about that, what is going to happen in my future. I think I am still able to play a few more years of football but in the future I have other projects that will be more interesting than to be president, in my opinion.”
