Nigerian shortlisted for women Player of the Year award

22nd April 2015 Nigerian-born British footballer, Eniola Aluko, is one of five women to be shortlisted for the 2015 Women’s Player of the Year award by the English Professional Football Association.

The soccer star plays for the prominent Chelsea Ladies, which is ranked high in this season of the English Women’s League. Eniola’s four contenders are star players Ji So-yun – who like her, plays for Chelsea Ladies, Lucy Bronze from Manchester City, Kelly Smith from Arsenal ladies, Jess Clarke, a footballer with Notts County and Karen Carney of Birmingham City.

The winner will be announced on the twenty sixth of April.
