18th Nov 2014 We are really happy about the Super Eagles of Nigeria who are on the path to the twenty-fifteen Africa Cup of nations after the team scored a 2 goal success against Congo. We all know about the travails of our home team recently so this is some positive news, and has given Nigeria’s squad their much needed victory towards their campaign for qualifying for AFCON 2015 next January in Equatorial Guinea.
At first the Congolese team looked ready to crush the Super Eagles, but they gradually weakened under the pressure that they received from the persistent Nigerian side who picked up their pace in the second half. The Congolese team could not handle the new aggressive style of play that was handed to them, which was obvious by the two goals scored by Nigeria’s team which made them emerge winners of the game.
It is recalled that The Red Devils of Congo held the advantage of having beaten the Super Eagles at home 3-2 in an earlier encounter in September. This match’s result means that the Eagles now sit above the Red Devils in the second place.
On the 19th of November, at the newly built Akwa Ibom international stadium in Nigeria, the super eagles will play against South Africa for the final qualification for the tournament. May the best team win, which is actually another way of saying Good luck Super Eagles.
