Nigeria's Super Falcons wins their 2nd leg Qualifier against Rwanda.
9 June 2014 Nigeria’s Super Falcons weren’t joking when they promised to give it their all in their 2nd leg qualifier against Rwanda. The Falcons beat the She-Amavubi 8 – 0, to secure an aggregate of 12 – 1 and a place at the Africa Women’s Championship.
The rout started in the 10th minute with a goal from Blessing Edoho, Asisat Oshoala scored a second a few minutes later and by half time, the Falcons had scored 5 goals with 2 goals from Desire Oparanozie and 1 from Esther Sunday. The second half saw a 3rd goal from Desire Oparanozie, a second from Asisat Oshoala and one more by Cecilia Nku. With this comprehensive victory, the Falcons have joined Namibia and South Africa at the qualified table.
