Nigeria’s under 15 team emerge champions in the Gaborone 2014 Africa Youth Games (AYG)

3 June 2014 We’re still talking football with the news that Nigeria’s under 15 team has defeated Swaziland 3-1 to emerge champions in the football event at the Gaborone 2014 Africa Youth Games (AYG) in Botswana.

The boys had a good outing throughout the games; conceding only once and scoring ten times in five matches. The team defeated hosts Botswana, South Africa and Tanzania and drew 0-0 with Mali.

For the rest of Team Nigeria at the Games, the news is equally good; Team Nigeria won 19 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals to emerge overall 3rd best nation in the 2nd edition of the African Youth Games.
