Oscar Pistorius charged with murder

Dec 07, 2015 Over to South Africa, the Supreme Court has overturned Oscar Pistorius’ charge of manslaughter to that of murder for shooting and killing his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The double amputee who had it that he mistook Reeva Steenkamp for an intruder when he shot her was released from prison after spending one year of his five year sentence to spend the rest of the sentence under house arrest.

Now faced with murder charge, Oscar Pistorius awaits his new sentence expected next year, bearing in mind that a murder charge could attract as much as 15 year sentence according to South African law.
