Oscar Pistorius denied right to appeal

Mar 07, 2016 Once again Olympic Blade Runner Oscar Pistorius is back in the news after being denied leave to appeal against his murder conviction for killing his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day of 2013.

Oscar Pistorius had spent a year in jail before being released in October to spend the rest of his 5 year manslaughter conviction under house arrest before his manslaughter charge was overturned to that of murder.

The double amputee blade runner will be facing a sentencing hearing in Pretoria on April 18, looking at a minimum of 15 years in jail.
