Oscar Pistorius qualifies for release on probation in August

So, South African Olympian blade runner Oscar Pistorius who is serving 5 year jail term for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s day of 2013 is set to be released from jail in August 21 on probation, after serving 10 months in jail.

Upon his release, Oscar Pistorius is likely to be put on house arrest, according to South Africa’s parole board.

However, Oscar’s prosecutors have until November to appeal this decision.
