Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) Limited, planning to recommence operations in its assembly plant in Kaduna, next month.

22 May 2014 Another company is making big noises in the Nigeria automobile scene. – MD Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) Limited, Ibrahim Boyi has announced that the company is planning to recommence operations in its assembly plant in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria, next month.

The company also announced that it is working closely with its French-based Technical Partner, Automobile Peugeot France, to start test assembling operations in June.

Their intentions are ambitious; Mr Boyi states that Peugeot is going to introduce very competitive vehicles made for the Nigerian roads that can compete with leading brands to ensure that they are properly positioned in Nigeria’s increasingly competitive automarket.

Vice President of Peugeot, Yves Moulin, is also excited about the new development and has said that his company is motivated to work with PAN given Nigeria’s position as the leading and fastest growing economy in Africa and arguably the largest consumer market on the continent.

He is quoted as saying “With the right regulations in place, I am sure we will be able to work together to add value, attract suppliers, create jobs and automobile clusters.’’
