Prince Ali publishes FIFA presidential election manifesto

Jan 08, 2016 FIFA presidential candidate Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan recently published his election manifesto.

The 40-year-old Jordanian royal, is one of five men looking to replace Sepp Blatter in next month’s election.

Prince Ali’s manifesto calls for a maximum of two four-year terms as there are currently no limits for the FIFA president. He also proposed total financial transparency, which would include publishing the salaries of senior executives.

The manifesto further suggested a revised bidding process for the World Cup from 2026 onwards and an increase in the annual financial assistance to members from $250,000 to $1 million.

FIFA will hold a presidential election on  February 26th, with Prince Ali, Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa and Tokyo Sexwale going toe-to-toe.
