Rafael Benitez tells critics to wait for end of season
Jan 05, 2016 Real Madrid’s coach Rafael Benitez recently played down on media suggestions that his job was dependent on his next game’s result.
There has increased pressure at the Bernabeu and the chorus of whistles that greeted Benitez before their victory over Real Sociedad was an indication of the crowd’s dissatisfaction.
Real Madrid has suffered two losses in their last six matches and currently trails Barcelona and Atletico Madrid on their La Liga table.
Speaking to his defense, Benitez said:
“I joined Real Madrid after a long career path, with many titles, the president was the one who signed me. He has an idea, a project, the project needs time and at the end is when evaluations have to be done,”
