Real Sociedad sack manager Moyes

Nov 13, 2015 Former Manchester united boss David Moyes was recently given his matching orders by La Liga strugglers Real Sociedad, a day to his one-year anniversary at the Spanish club.

The 52-year-old steered the Basque team to 12th spot last season after taking charge in November 2014.

But this term, the Spanish outfit is only outside the relegation zone on goal difference and Friday’s 2-0 defeat at Las Palmas was their fourth in five league games.

Assistant boss Billy McKinlay was also sacked, while Former Barcelona assistant coach Eusebio Sacristan was named as Moyes’ replacement on a deal that runs till June 2017.
